Ryan J. Dennis is a journalist and producer with bylines on 11Alive’s The A-Scene, BET, and Madame Noire.
Dennis got his start in broadcast news as a production assistant and assignment editor with FOX 29 in Philadelphia, where he interned in the summer of 2009. In 2013, he was named web producer for FOX29.com, where he helped manage breaking news content and programming content needs for the station.
Between 2010 and 2013, Dennis also helped small businesses and lifestyle brands expand their businesses through content creation and strategy as an Interactive Content Producer with Skai Blue Media.
In 2016, Dennis joined 11Alive’s news team as a breaking news producer and assignment editor. In 2018, he became an entertainment reporter and producer for The A-Scene, the station’s Emmy and Edward R. Murrow award-winning franchise that went behind the scenes inside Georgia’s booming entertainment scene.
Dennis, alongside Francesca Amiker, covered historic events in Atlanta including the 2019 Super Bowl, the 70th Primetime Emmys, and the grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios.
In 2021, he helped launch the start of REVOLT Studios as a news content manager.
Dennis earned a Southeast Emmy and Telly award for producing Upfront Gwinnett: Fighting Fentanyl, a four-part docuseries about how Gwinnett County officials and families respond to fentanyl misuse.
Most recently, Dennis hosted “Ryan The Transit Guy,” a campaign educating Gwinnett County residents about public transportation options for a proposed transit referendum in the upcoming November 2024 election. The campaign earned 3CMA Savvy Award, which highlights the best in government communications nationwide.
Dennis attended Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA where he studied Broadcast Journalism and Digital Media.
